Tourniquet syndrome: a father wants to raise awareness by posting a photo of his daughter



It may be enough of a hair for a tragedy happens. Fortunately, he was saved by Scott and Jessica Walker. These Texans parents faced a rare infection daughter of 4 months: the choke or hair tourniquet syndrome.

What tourniquet syndrome?

This is the accidental winding of hair around a finger, toe or penis of a baby. This hair can potentially cut the bloodstream of the infant.

If the hair is not removed in time, the infection can spread and even cut the trapped limb.

Raising awareness of the syndrome tourniquet on social networks

The couple's daughter Walker, Molly, crying incessantly and had a fever. It's removing his socks that the mother noticed that the little toe was wrapped by a hair that entaillait his skin.

After removing the hair of Molly toe with tweezers, the couple took the girl to the doctor. The latter then informed the rare syndrome that affects children, namely the tourniquet syndrome.

To educate other parents to this potential danger, Scott Walker has released a photo of the toe of his daughter on Facebook.
